I've seen two interviews with Normani recently. She mentioned that both of her parents developed cancer during the process of the album. She made the choice to prioritize her family. She also mentioned that her family still pushed her to continue making the album, but trying to be a creative while navigating both parents during treatment and recovery kinda made her depressed. I honestly don't fault her on this.

For me is not only the label but her, sorry but I don’t see her as passionate with music as other artists. I know she is no getting support from her label to push but she could showcase her music through other platforms, you need to be marketable in the music industry and she could be but I feel she has insecurities and the label doesn’t believe fully in her artistry. Which is normal. Actually you didn’t mention the comparisons with her ex bandmate Camila Cabello, she is releasing her fourth studio album she has created a based for herself, in spite of she is not selling well too, she is getting a lot of support from her label… but people should not compare because Camila has been doing better in the past, Normani is like a new artist and she is figuring out what she is.

This video was unnecessary after the review especially when your own music is not good at all and does no numbers.

Remember when Nicki defended her at the VMAs and said they had something they have worked on …. Where is that? Something like that would have helped this album. Also - where was Normani during the rollout? I didn’t see her interviewing or performing or hitting the late night circuit

You are so right, thank you for this video that was highly needed, the marketing has been a disaster, I think she releasing as a lead single that 1:59 record was a huge mistake, and mostly when you fan base is pop based, she needs more years in the game to do that, and also I do believe her album is amazing I like mostly every song, she could showcase it better on TikTok or other platforms… I feel like she should focus in her beginning in pop songs and then she can build this pop status global star that I believe she could be, and try to catch the general public then after that she could release country music if she wants… no shade.

She’s not an interesting singer. Great dancer, great visuals. But she needs to add some pizzazz some sass to her vocal delivery. Like Janet or Britney or Madonnna. Not known for singing but can add character to their songs.

Even though the album was ok I think it’s safe to say people did move on to Coco Jones and Victoria Monet
